Denise Andrews, is a 52 year old Orange native and a compassionate, results oriented leader. Denise's personal mantra, "To whom much is given, much is required", compels her to make a difference.
The principles that guide her life are:
- choose to be a good local and global citizen
- to leave a legacy from which all families benefit
- to be free to dance in every country.
She has served as a collaborative leader for change across many communities. Some examples include improving the quality of governance, embracing global citizenship, excellence in leadership, initiatives for social progress and equal rights for all. She is, also, a guest lecturer at the State Department and various universities on leadership, mentoring, and improving performance across corporations and non-profit organizations.
She has been blessed to learn and teach in many countries. She is committed to give her best to make local and global communities thrive. She, like many others, dreams of creating a better world for all.
She focuses on building great leaders and great organizations as a key strategy to make this dream a reality.
As the Second Franklin District State Representative her focus and priorities are:

The business world is where Denise has spent her professional career before running for public office. She is a managing partner of an entrepreneurial consulting company, Legacy Unlimited, www.legacyunlimited.net, which specializes in leadership, diversity and inclusion. Previously, Denise served 25 years, as a respected business leader in Manufacturing, Human Resources and Global Diversity in the Procter & Gamble Company.
Denise has been serving for three years as the appointed Chair of Governor Patrick's Advisory Council for Non-Discrimination, Equal Opportunity and Diversity. Through this work she has built relationships with key leaders and resources to move the commonwealth toward becoming an exemplary state in diversity by 2020.
Denise and her partner of 27 years, share a rich extended family.
Denise is a graduate of Ralph C. Mahar Regional High School and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts and a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Xavier University (Ohio).
Denise serves on the Revenue Committee, the Election Law Committee and the Labor and Workforce Development Committee.
